It’s been almost two weeks since we arrived in the Philippines. I was transferring pictures from the digicam and realized that I only took few shots of our stay here unlike when I am in Praha where the camera is always ready to take a snap of baby C’s antics.
The little girl is growing up so fast. And she’s one super energetic kid! She’s enjoying the things around her and having a blast discovering even simple things such as a broom. She’s also growing bigger physicall; compared to the local kids much older in age than her, she’s taller than them. Last night there was one girl who will turn three on January who was a couple of inces taller than baby C who’s only 15 months. Geezz!
Anyway, here’s a picture of baby C when we were in Finland for a vacation:
She’s playing in one of the swing sets on the park, the day she turned 10 months.
It’s so noisy here at home during the day. Our roof is being replaced with new long span sheets coz the old ones were already rusty and has holes so you can imagine how loud the hammering and banging could get. It’s like the house is being rocked by a giant!
Next month we’re expecting plenty of visitors; anytime soon we will be doing a major cleaning at home in preparation for their arrival. After the roofs have been replaced, we can already start our cleaning.Weee! I’m not too excited about that.

There are different kinds of tv stands to match the look of your living room. Whether you like antique, modern or a stand with storage spaces, you can always find one in the internet.
I used to get confused between soccer and football. I found out later that football is the same as soccer. Football is the term used in Europe and soccer is for the Americans. America has also another sport which they call football. In American football, players carry and throw the ball to their teammates unlike in European football where the ball is kicked.
Since hubby is fond of soccer, I sometimes get to watch the games especially the EUFA Championships with him. Soccer is a game that most Europeans are crazy over and they make sure they don’t miss any games. You’d see them sitting right in front of TV either in their homes or pubs watching the game.
For the love of soccer, hubby plays the sports once a week competing with other local teams in the city. Though it’s not a professional game, he still feels good whenever he plays and most especially if they win. He’s role as a goalie is essential to their victory that’s why as much as possible he never misses a game. Yes, if you want to see him play, he’s the guy always standing and guarding the opponent’s ball from getting into the Soccer Nets to prevent them from scoring.

I miss my laptop! I left it in Praha coz I don’t want to travel with lots of hand-carried stuff especially that I was travelling alone with baby C. I am currently using my old desktop PC. Though it works fine, there are some programs that are lacking. Also the USB slot is located at the rear which is very inconvenient for me when I want to insert my disk drive. One more thing, the monitor display isn’t configured yet coz they’ve tried several video cards for this unit. The only nice thing about using the desktop is its huge flat screen. Being four-eyed, looking at a big screen sure is great!
After almost a week of being silent, I am back! In case you didn’t know, exactly a week ago hubby paid for our air ticket to Philippines. I only had 3 days till our travel to prepare, pack up and shop for our trip, so you can imagine how busy those last few days were. Plus we also spent the nights visiting baby C’s grandparents. I’m glad I survive the long travel along with my little girl last weekend. It was TOUGH!!! And to think that after three months I’ll be doing it over again when we return to Europe. Huhuhu But I don’t want to think about that now.

Sometimes difference in toilet practice can cause a fight at home. I know a lady who’s always complaining that her husband always forgets to put the toilet seat down. It drives her nuts. Maybe she should put a in front of their toilet a big sign which says “Don’t forget to put the seat down after using!!!” It could help her or, she can use the pretty little toilet seat handle to remind her husband about that.
I’m talking about The Shandle: Toilet Seat Handle which comes in cool and pretty designs (some have humor statements and reminders printed on it). The handle is has an antimicrobial protection that prevents the growth of bacteria thus its safe and clean to hold. They are waterproof and can easily be cleaned too.
Other suitable purposes would be for communal toilets such as in the office, dormitories, or establishments with public restroom. It’s also good for home use especially if you’re potty training your kid. And guess what, they can also be nice gifts for any occasion.
You can choose from their different designs; natural, humor, decorative, just for kids, political party, etc. See below for some sample of their design and how the Shandle looks like:

Cute little things eh?
In Cebu where we lived for many years, beside us was a shoe shop. It was popular for their handmade shoes. One time I wanted to have my shoe sole repaired and they told me it will take few weeks coz they have several pairs of shoes that needs to be finished first. It was apparently ordered by ballroom dancers who are joining in a dance competition. We found out that the dancers couldn’t find in regular shoe stores shoes that are fit for ballroom dancing that’s why they go to our neighbor shoe shop to order. It must have been frustrating for the dancers to not immediately get their shoes unlike if they pick and buy in a store.
That time online shopping wasn’t popular then. If only they knew about Move Dancewear where they can buy any dancewear and dance shoes including tap, jazz, ballet, flamenco and yes, ballroom dance shoes too! They also have a huge range of character shoes and New Yorkers in leather, man-made PU and canvas. There’s also a great variety of heel heights. It’s definitely a good place to shop for any dance shoes especially if you’re into dancing. Aside from dance shoes, they also have other accessories such as leotards, dance underwear, legwear and tights, warmups and many more. You better visit this site and check out their dance products!
Tonight I’m on a Hello Kitty hunt! Well, blame it to a friend who’s selling Hello Kitty watches. She sent me few designs and colors of Hello Kitty watches and before I knew it, I was already surfing the superhi-way for more kitty stuff! Meow! Coincidentally, my little girl was wearing her HK (Hello Kitty) dress today. But unfortunately, we weren’t able to take pictures or videos.
Arghhh!
After all the HK madness, I wonder if there are hello kitty equestrian riding apparels available too (for equestrians who are fond of the kitty!). What do you think?

Who doesn’t know poker? Though I really don’t know how this game is played, I usually see tournaments broadcasted on TV; I also get to read about it in websites (casino sites, etc.); and yes, they’re in the movies too! So I guess everyone who has access to TV and internet has an idea what poker is. Simply stated, it’s a card game.
I’ve mentioned in my previous about a poker movie entitled Lucky You starring the pretty Drew Barrymore and Eric Bana. I’ve just found out that it wasn’t actually the first poker-themed film that was released. In 1998, there’s one poker movie entitled Rounders starring Matt Damon and Edward Norton. So I searched for other poker movies and found the top 6 which any poker fan will love. Though they might not be entirely about poker, there are some poker scenes that are interesting to see. First on the list was the Rounders, second was Maverick starring Mel Gibson, third is The Cincinatti Kid which is a poker-filled movie. Fourth is Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, followed by Honeymoon in Vegas and lastly, A Big Hand for a Little Lady.
So poker fans, leave those Poker Tables for awhile and enjoy watching any of these movies mentioned, said to entertain you.
Two weekends ago, we shopped some food items for baby C at Marks & Spencer. They have this buttermilk animal crackers that has a really cute package. Honestly, I bought it coz I like the package (teehee!). I also tried their digestive biscuits, not quite as yummy as those I’ve tasted in Finland. Then I also got her an instant oatmeal.
Last week, I finally ran out of Quaker oats so it was only today that I was able to open the Marks & Spencer oatmeal. I mixed into it a ripe banana and baby C had no complains about it. With this new find, I guess I don’t have to bring Quaker oats all the way from the Philippines whenever I go home. It’s good to know I’ve found a replacement.
Last September when one of the biggest insurance companies in the world suffered from liquidity crisis, many have been worried that if this could happen to a big company, how else can we trust other insurance companies?
If you’ve lost hope on insurance companies, here’s one that committed to its four core values of stability, service, quality and committment - the United American Insurance Company that was established 61 years ago. It is important for an insurance company to have stability which customers can depend on to pay their claims and it’s good to know that UAIC stands on their committment to their customers through all these years.
So there you are. If you’re looking for an insurance company, try United American Insurance Company!

Toy Hunt is hosted by Joy. This week’s theme is fluffy/stuffed toys.
Here’s another first of baby C’s stuffed toys, it’s a rag doll named Anna. She’s not minding her much anymore as she enjoys playing with our cellphones, remote controls, clothes and other things that are NOT toys!

This is who keeps my girl company for several hours everyday - BARNEY! She enjoys watching Barney a lot. I’m glad coz she’s learning many good deeds being taught by Barney through the songs they sing. It also helps instilling in baby C the love for music and dance.
When we were in a friend’s party last weekend, the adults we singing their hearts out by singing with the videoke and baby C was dancing with the songs. Everybody was amused. My little girl just loves music!
