Caity has a fever but that didn’t stop her from playing. When you look at her, you’d think she’s not even sick at all. She still plays, runs around, dances, etc. - doing the usual things she does every day. But once I put her to bed, that’s when she acts sick. While she was sleeping earlier, I took her temperature. It was 38.8C. According to one site I read in the internet, it’s nothing to be alarmed about. It’s not even advisable to give the child aspirin… just let the body fight with the virus naturally and wait until the fever subsides. And that’s what I’m doing. I hope she’ll be well before her dad arrives from his trip.

For fun Vegas vacations, go to Vegas Vacation Store!
It’s amazing how technology and science can solve mysterious deaths in the US. I was watching a crime investigation TV show that’s aired in US entitled Forensic Files and I really applaud how they are able to solve crimes even those that happened decades ago.
Of the few stories I watched, there were 2 crimes committed by their very own husbands. It’s a very sad, sad thing how the person you trust and love can turn against you, to the point of plotting your death or killing you. The husbands even increased their wives’ life insurance months prior to the murder. It’s obvious that they will benefit from these life insurance once their wives are dead. Heartless and greedy guys!
I was searching last night for some crafts that I can do with my little girl and found many great ideas. One was creating letters for each week in numerous ways.
I made a big letter A and made little C color it, then cut it and pasted in on the wall. I kept pointing to it and naming it. She easily remembered what it was. I think this is a good way for her to memorize the alphabet. So the whole week, I’ll be tackling each letter for her to remember.
A for apple, B for Barney, C for car…. F for franchise and so on, until she masters the alphabet! =)
Sometimes my hubby just surprises me with his online purchases. He’s a techie freak who’s always scouring the internet for the latest gadget or the latest computer peripherals. Sometimes I see him looking at e-bay or his favorite online computer store hunting for good finds. When the year started, he bought several products such as new LCD monitor, a stereo component to name some. I wonder if he’d be interested with KVM switch that’s being sold at an incredibly discounted low price! Fortunately right now work is keeping him occupied and away from online stores.
Selling insurance is bread and butter to a lot of people. For others like my uncle, it’s only a part time job. This kind of work needs plenty of time for meeting possible clients and discussing insurance policies. If you want to succeed in this career, you definite need help. With insurance lead generation, insurance agents can increase their sales dramatically. It’s a great tool that every insurance agent should have in order for them to survive and thrive especially in this time of economic crisis.

girls… girls… girls…
So last Friday we were at Angie’s place to celebrate her birthday. Many friends came, some I don’t even know! =) As usual, she prepared lots of food for us that we have to bring home the left-overs. Hehehe… Even with all the tempting food on the table, I skipped the carbohydrates and ate only sisig, beef steak and a slice of cassava cake. Even my bring-home were carbohydrates free. =)
I’m aiming to be fit! Kettlebell fitness seems to be a new find. It came out with the six-week body transformation to be done in only 20 minutes, 3 times a week. I’m not actually fat but having a toned body without the fats seems to be a nice idea especially that summer is only a season away.
Have you heard of Kettlebell? Have you tried it? Did it work for you? I’m quite curious. =)
My friend is planning for her birthday party next week and she asked for any food suggestions. I told her I already missed eating grilled pork. We both know we can’t have that coz we live in multi-story housing unit which doesn’t provide an open space for grilling. Huhuhu.. we can only wish! We consoled ourselves that summer is fast approaching. We’ll be able to enjoy outdoors again, and even have a barbeque party! I love that! They live in a place close to a big lake and she invited us to spend summer there. It would be like an Outer Banks vacation only it is in Europe. Ahhh summer, please come soon!
It’s good to know that there are many short-term courses which job hunters can enroll in order to land a job.
I recently met a Filipina who took a seven-month training course for casino dealers. She was hired immediately after submitting her credentials in one of the Prague casinos. According to her, the casino she’s working at is short of game dealers and are still hiring for more. The salary is good but the downside is that they have to work on a night shift but still it’s better than having no work at all.
If you don’t have the money to get a five-year education, you too can enroll in short-term courses such as medical coding training courses (which I’ve heard pays really well), get a job, save up for your dream course and study again. Or you can just focus on that job and work well. Who knows you will be promoted and become a big boss someday.
I’m following my sister’s advice, to lessen my carbohydrates’ intake which she learned from Atkin’s. But as much as I’d like to, getting together with friends especially if I am the host can be a detriment to this goal. Last Tuesday my friends were here and I prepared some food for them. Though they brought home some of the left-over foods, there are still plenty left. My husband goes home late at night and doesn’t eat breakfast and lunch at home, so I am the one who has to eat those foods! It took me more than three meals to finally finish all the rice I cooked.
Next week, I got an invitation to a birthday celebration. I’ll try to stay away from carbohydrates! Promise! I really want to lose the bulge in my tummy before summer comes for that sexy and slim body! And hey, wearing bustier corsets might help give me a sexy look. What do you think?

There are many reasons why I’d rather stay indoors than outdoors when it’s cold like winter time. Getting ready to go out would take a long time. Imagine the number of clothing you have to wear in order to keep yourself warm. Duh! I sometimes feel like a mummy walking! Cold weather also makes my skin very dry. My lips crack and my skin sometimes itch a lot. Last year it got worse that it left scars on my legs. Sigh. When it’s cold outside, I like to stay in bed longer, hide under the comforter (I heard an electric blanket does a good job of keeping you warm too!) and sleep! When I’m not sleeping, I go online, download music and video files or watch movies or blog, which is what I’m doing now on a cold and rainy afternoon. =)
