weekend’s here

Good Friday morning!  I’m glad it’s weekend again but our weekend will be fully loaded.  Tomorrow the Pope will visit Prague and there’s a also an orientation seminar at the Philippine Embassy about retirement opportunities for Filipinos.  Then on Monday, we’re going to Stara Boleslav to attend the Holy Mass by the Pope.  That’s why today, I want to work as much as I can so we don’t have to do that on weekend. 

I’ve got lots of things to do!!  The living room is dying to be cleaned up!  I let Caity play there yesterday and her toys are scattered all over the floor.  I hope the carpet isn’t soiled with food or juice coz I don’t have a steam cleaner for that. 

Anyway, that’s what’s happening  here in our end.  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! =)

stairway to heaven

=)  I’m hooked again with another Korean drama after a long time of not watching any.  I heard that our local TV station back home is showing a Tagalog version of this famous Korean hit, the Stairway to Heaven. I got curious and googled it.  The synopsis seemed intriguing, so I gave it a try and watched.  You’re right, I’m hooked now!  It’s even nicer to watch movies in my PC coz I have a bigger screen than before, a 19″ LCD monitor which my hubby bought for me last month.  

I’m currently on Episode 9, and it’s getting more exciting coz Han Jung-suh (the lead actress) has already regained her memory! Weeeee!!!

Taking a short rest after few minutes of walking…

Walking can be a good exercise, as good as taking the best diet pills to lose weight. That’s what we did last Saturday.  We were just looking for an activity that our little girl can enjoy and since she likes being outdoors, her dad drove us to this place called the Valley of Silence.  She sure did have a lot of fun there, while her dad and I were just sitting in the grass watching her play around.  Today is officially the autumn season but I’m hoping we’d still be blessed by more sunny and warmer days so we can have more outdoor bonding.

Hubby has been worried about our car.  He said that it needs auto accessories replacement coz it’s not running well.  It will cost a big amount to have it all completely repaired, so he’s planning to just prioritize the ones that needs immediate attention and follow the least important ones when we have enough money, probably next month.

This unexpected expense has surely affected our financial situation.   We have to give up certain things like vacation in order for our car to be fixed. It’s a pity coz summer will soon end… no more nice sunny weather for a long road trip. 

what shall i do?

Hola!  It’s the weekend again and the weather outside is perfect for an outdoor activity.  We’re still waiting for the flat owner to collect our rental fees so I am taking the time to work a little. I still don’t know what we will do today - if I should take advantage that hubby’s home and work with many online assignments, read what’s the best weight loss pills, bake that carrot cake I’ve been wanting to do since last week or kick my butt out from the computer and relish the fine day.

If we’re to go out today, where will we go? Hmmmmm….  Such a tough decision! hehehe  I hope hubby has some nice ideas.

Some people love their pets so much that they actually spend plenty of money on them.  The rich and famous even buy designer clothing and accessories for their dogs!  I didn’t even know that there are also dog ramps available for dogs with disabilities.  

All these show of love for their pets are understandable especially if you compare how humans can act awfully towards other humans.  Sometimes, pets fare better in dealing with humans coz they are loyal and protective over us that’s why pet owners treat them like their own family. That’s why you can’t blame your neighbor is she loves her dog more than you.  =)

the worst thing to happen on a wedding day

What do you think it is?  There are a lot of things that can go wrong on a wedding day, like a late groom, a rainy weather, misplaced rings… but what could be worse than all those?  It’s finding out that your groom wasn’t just late, but he can’t come because he’s DEAD! - dead only a few hours from the wedding!  It’s one of those tragic accidents caused by irresponsible drivers.  

The story went like this: 
A groom who was riding in the back seat driven by his groomsman when they were hit by another car who ran on a red light. The groom who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the car and a third vehicle then ran over him as he was lying in the road. He was rushed to the hospital but was later pronounced  dead.

What can a Tacoma car accident lawyer do about this? Obviously they couldn’t bring him back to life, but at least his family can get the legal help they need in case they want to sue the culprit.

So if you’re wedding didn’t perfectly went as planned, don’t fret as long as both you and your partner are wedded, everything is fine. That’s better than receiving a tragic news on what’s supposed to be a happy day.

Tap water in our home can not be trusted.  Even the water district officials are advising residents to boil their water for drinking.  Others have resorted to buying purified water in gallons.  I’m glad we have a water purifier at home.  This not only provides us with safe drinking water, it also allows us to save money rather than spending on purified water.   We only have to spend on water filters whichwe change occassionally.  I found an online site which sells ukf7003axx water filter for discounted price. That means more savings!

My sister earlier updated me with the latest in our condo.  There really hasn’t been much development coz they’re now prioritizing the work of our other sister’s unit.  They hired a contractor which means work has to be on schedule. Anyway, we got to talking about the budget for our kitchen renovation and I found out that we need to send more money for this.  As much I wanted the best for our condo, our budget doesn’t allow us to splurge much so we’re sticking to simplicity.  Looking for bargains also help in reducing our expenses.  My sister got our living room set on a discounted price from SM Home World.  Murray Feiss currently have a sale on their lighting fixtures which is also an opportunity to save on ceiling lightings.  I hope there are more sales to come in home furniture and accessories so we can take advantage of them!

help!

I am swamped with work!  Aside from house chores, taking care of a toddler, my husband and my pregnant self, I still have online work that I need to finish. There are diet pills, computers, pet supplies, etc. to write about.  Help! How do I manage to do everything?  I really need some time off, just to be by myself, but how?  Sometimes when Caity is asleep, I sneak out to write a few assignments.  Working when she’s awake only frustrates me.  I have barely written a few words, and there she is, pulling me to play with her or wanting to sit on my lap while she watches her favorite kiddie shows. Huhuhuhu… Life really ain’t easy in Europe.  We don’t have helpers or yayas to help us at home.  We have to do everything by ourselves, that includes making our own Pinoy food that are not readily available in local stores here.

clutter, clutter…

After Caity’s second birthday last week, her possessions have increased in number! She received toys, clothes and books from her birthday guests.  She hass been enjoying her new toys which included a cooking set. The problem is, Caity likes to take her toys anywhere and this cooking set has several small pieces that are left scattered all over the house. Weeeee!  I’d tell her to put them back inside the bag after she’s done playing but after awhile she’s back to it again.  I guess it will take few years more till I can see a clutter-free house. I don’t really mind.  It’s fun to have Caity around, clutter and all.
