a parent's journey...

whatever your mind can conceive and believe it can achieve

January 12, 2011

This new year, I’ve decided to start the habit of reading, watching or listening to inspirational books, videos or talks which I used to do often several years ago.

I want to use my imagination, my creative mind in achieving what I want in life.  I used to write down the things I want and also made a vision board so I can easily visualize the everything that I wanted to have in life.  Then we had kids, and our lives got busier, leaving us with little time for ourselves. I can’t even remember when was the last time I read a book.  Movies or videos I watch are mostly kids’ stuff, which I get to see when my little girl watches.

Earlier while I was sleeping beside her for an afternoon, I couldn’t get myself to sleep and I thought it would be nice if I have a blackberry playbook so I can listen to motivational talks while I keep my little girl company in the room.  I can also watch videos when we’re outdoors like in the playground or when we have picnics.  But its out of my financial range.  A cheaper portable media player will do for my purpose.  But hey, maybe it would be good to practice my imagination starting with myself owning a blackberry playbook.  after all, whatever your mind can conceive and believe it can achieve.
