a parent's journey...

Lost flowers

July 31, 2011

A couple of nights ago, my hubby and Caity went shopping.  When they came back, Caity rushed to me and was babbling. “Mama’s flower is lost!“  I asked her what flowers.  She kept telling me with sad face that the flowers were gone.  Hubby later explained that he brought me a boquet of roses and daughter wanted to hold it herself after he paid for it.  She got pricked by a thorn and put it back on the counter without his knowledge.  When hubby was taking out the groceries from the shopping cart, he noticed that the flowers weren’t there.  They went back to the store, it was already closed. Too bad. :(   Caity kept comforting me that her dad will replace the lost flowers.  “It’s okay Mama, Táta will buy another flower“. It was cute.   I’m sure hubby felt bad about it too.  I wanted to tell him that he can order flowers cheap but forgot about it.

Well, even if I didn’t get to see the flowers, it felt good to know that hubby thought of giving me one coz he seldom does that.
