lost but not yet found

I have been looking for those promotional items I got from my husband’s company but can’t find it.  I brought plenty of those to give away to relatives but with our things still in disarray even after more than a week since we arrived in the Philippines, I am at lost where to look for it.  As far as I can remember, I placed it in the outside pocket of my luggage.  But it’s not there.  Maybe I should take all our things out from the bags and luggages and hopefully it will appear.  Usually things that are lost usually appear when you’re not looking for it. That happened to me many times already. Maybe I should just forget about it for awhile and wait till it shows up.

could have been

Today I could have been shouting “Hurray!  I made it!  I survived two weeks without my hubby around!”.  We could have been celebrating with a lunch out.  But that’s not the case yet.  Duh!  Hubby’s business trip is extended to three more days. Huhuhuhu, so all the plans brewing in my head are all gone.  Well, we’re still okay except that the weather hasn’t helped much in lifting my mood.  Add to that, I have my girl thing! Achhh!

Though we seldom watch shows in our TV, I sometimes wish we have a big LCD TV complete with a home theater seating in our living room where we can watch movies and pretend like we’re in a movie theater.  But such electronic product is not on our list of priority.  I’m not really that crazy over LCD TV anyway.  With my loads of work everyday, I barely have the luxury of watching TV shows.

a.l.o.n.e

Quiet.  That’s how it is here at this moment at home.  Hubby and the little girl are out to visit granny.  Granny had some gifts for the little girl and it’ only after work that hubby has the time to pick it up. I’m grateful for this quiet time I have. It’s seldom I can enjoy such treat.  Hubby said I should rest while they’re away.  But I know no matter how I try, I just couldn’t sleep coz my mind will only think about all the work that’s waiting for me.  That’s why I’m here in front of my notebook. 

Anytime they will be back home and the stillness will be broken, either by the little girl’s laughter or cry.  We’ll see later which sound will resound in the four corners of our home.

just another mom’s blah blah

As I’ve previously mentioned, I haven’t been getting much rest or sleep.  Whoever said that moms should also rest while the baby is sleeping doesn’t know that there are many OTHER things that needs to be attended too; such as the pile of dishes and the dirty laundry to be washed, the messy house that needs to be cleaned, cooking lunch or dinner, etc.!  How can I just sleep and forget the rest? Then at night, the little one wakes up to breastfeed like every 4 hours.  How can I have a nice and long uninterrupted sleep?  The good thing about being busy though is that it makes me burn my calories fast, thus I am not fat… only, I have a bulging tummy. Eek!  Can a diet pill like Ephedrasil Hardcore get rid of that?  I wonder.

Yehey! My ordeal is almost over.  Long days of being alone will end today! My sister is arriving from Pori.  Well I wasn’t really alone as I have lots of company over the internet.  I’m practically online all day and my family as well.  Anyway with my sister around, I hope I’ll have some time to rest a bit or else I’ll have acne.  You know with stress and lack of sleep…

everyday is sunday!

What’s the date today?  It seems I’m lost as to what the date is.  That can happen if you’re just bumming around errr I mean when you’re on vacation.  The days pass by quickly. Have I lost my memory?  Heehehhe I even forgot that it’s Sunday today. Sunday used to be the only day that I get to have free day, now I’m having it daily! Yeyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

disturbed by a noisy dog

Dang!  Our dog is barking noisily again at the backyard. From the brightness coming from the outdoor lighting I can tell he is after some lizards on walled gate. My little girl who is a light sleeper usually rouses from sleep whenever she hears our doggie bark.  Fortunately at night, she’s so sleepy to notice or hear the noisy bark of doggie.  But this afternoon, she immediately woke up and looked around. Hayyyy! Our afternoon nap was disturbed!

friday’s feast not up yet

I haven’t joined Friday’s Feast for months already.  It so happened that today I’ve got little time to spare for bloghopping and then I remembered it’s Friday.  Why don’t I join the meme? I thought.  Unfortunately its still night time at the other side of the chef’s world.  I hope later when the questions will be up I still have time to make one and join the Friday meme.  I’ll be heading off to the market this morning to cook up a real feast for the weekend.  Tata for now!

what were we up to last night?

I’m still alive!  I’m just popping here to make my presence known.  I slept late last night coz there were many things to wrap up before my hubby flies back to Europe.  One of which is the signing of our condo contract.  While hubby and I were signing the papers with advertising pens we got for free, I thought my head would fall right on top of the papers.  Tsk tsk I should really be getting enough sleep!   Now that hubby isn’t here, our outing trips will be lessened and hopefully I would have ample time for resting.

Did I say we’re on vacation? I should have been feeling relaxed and pampered but having a hyperactive baby just keeps me busy, always.  It’s a 24/7 job that I take with me where ever I go, unless I leave the baby to someone else.

So even if I fly to Bahamas or frolic in one of the beautiful beaches in Hawaii or stay in Hilton Head rentals, I don’t think I’ll ever have a nice rest as long as my little one is with me.  Not that I’m complaining.  Having her close to my side allows me to see her rapid development , something I wouldn’t trade for anything.

After catching up with work deadline before the month ends, I feel like I need one of those luxury vacations so I can rest my tired body. But vacation has to wait but it will be this month. I really need a break especially that I haven’t got any decent rest since I got pregnant.  It’s through God’s grace that I have been able to get through all this and of course with the help of my ever-supportive and responsible better half.

out, out, out!

Yep, today I’ll be spending my time out of my castle.  Got to visit the doctor, of course tagging along is my baby with hubby driving for us.  Then afterwards we’ll be heading to a friend’s house for the party!  We usually end up quite late, so I don’t expect be home before 8pm. Ahhh food feast again!  I’m still thinking if I should eat lunch or wait for the food binging to save space for later. Ha!  Anyway, I still have things to do before I go OUT, so ciao!

And so the little one has turned 6 months old today.  I wanted to celebrate it in a little way but as always, hubby’s work schedule wouldn’t permit.  He told me earlier he would go home by 4:30PM, but it was already past 6 and he still wasn’t home.  I tried contacting him through his phone but it was off.  He was also offline in ICQ.  He came home almost 7PM. Huhuhu It turned out that the guys at work stopped him from leaving early and he was irritated with the many calls he’s getting that he turned it off since 12 noon.  Hayyyyyy…. So much for celebration.  Anyway, without any celebration the best thing is that our baby is healthy and beautiful.  We’re grateful to God for her.

a short saturday

:( I don’t want this day to end yet!!!! Duhhh…  How soon can weekends end!  Well, coz we started our day really late.  We got up almost 11 in the morning because we lack sleep.  Yeah, the baby decided to wake up many times during the night and was already awake before 7 am. huhuhuh Poor hubby, he was up awake till 4am working.

Then the rest of the afternoon was spent cleaning and taking care of the dirty laundry.  Got no time to rest at all.  And yes, we went shopping for baby and household stuff. We decided to shop for food tomorrow coz it was already past 8pm when we got out from the store. Hohummmm…

a year in our flat

Guess what?  It’s our first year anniversary of living in our flat! How time flies.  I was just reminded coz the owner will come later to check on the place and of course, bill us for this month’s expenses and rent. 

We’ve already informed her last time that we’ll extend our stay here.  Though I’m not sure if it will be for another year.  Well, only time will tell.  But for now, we’re contented with this place. We haven’t been perfect caretakers of her plants though, few already died. Oh! I forgot to mention that two fishes also died in our year of stay here.  teeheee! But maybe it was because of old age.

The red day that everyone is waiting for, well not really everyone but maybe most people. hehehe exclude me.  It will be another ordinary day for me, unless someone decides it’s time to be mushy and get into the trend as what others are doing.  Whether you’ll celebrate Valentines or not, let’s always remember to share our love to everyone especially our family.

I suddenly feel a heavy weight on my shoulders (err heart?).  I want to do so much for everyone but I am not superwoman hahaha. tsk tsk  Then there’s the baby crying already.  Hayyyy… Anyway, I know it will be okay soon.  Just have to take things slow or else I might get burned out! Geeeeeeeeez! I don’t want that to happen.  I might as well play with the little one to shake off that negative vibes in me.  Think "happy thoughtssssss!"

welcoming the silence

After the endless wailing of baby, my ears are at peace now. The silence is very relaxing!  Hubby and the baby are out visiting lolo.  That makes me happy.  I had a rough day today; baby was giving me a hard time huhuhu.  Sometimes I wish she has a switch at her back which I can turn off whenever she starts crying.  She gets cranky when she lacks sleep, but then how can she sleep if she’s fighting it?  I hope tomorrow will be a good day.  Being tied to my baby 24/7 sometimes just wears me out.

up and about

Mommy is, but the little one is still asleep.  They came home last night from her grandma past 1 am and all the time she was there, she didn’t sleep a wink.  You can imagine how sleepy she was.  She didn’t even protest like she always do when I placed her in the crib to sleep.

So it’s past 10 am and she’s still in the dreamland.  As for me, I’ve got tons of work to finish, rest will come later. Oh weekend is coming, I might get plenty of rest for two days. I hope so. It would be much better if I could hie off to some Pigeon Forge cabins and get my rest there.
